We are seeking a Solution/Platform Architect with deep expertise in Databricks to design and implement enterprise-grade data platforms.
You will work with clients and internal teams to architect scalable data solutions, optimize platform performance, and enable advanced analytics and ML capabilities.
This role requires a strong combination of technical architecture skills, Databricks expertise, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect enterprise data platforms using Databricks
- Lead technical discussions with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements
- Create solution architectures, technical designs, and implementation roadmaps
- Optimize Databricks workspaces for performance, cost, and scalability
- Design data lakehouse architectures using Delta Lake and Unity Catalog
- Implement data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Architect ML and AI solutions on Databricks platform
- Mentor and guide engineering teams on Databricks best practices
- Evaluate and integrate Databricks with other cloud services and tools
- Lead proof-of-concepts and technical evaluations
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks platform
- Deep expertise in Databricks Workspace, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog
- Strong experience with Spark and distributed data processing
- Expert-level knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure Databricks preferred, AWS/GCP also valuable)
- Experience designing and implementing data lakehouse architectures
- Strong SQL and Python/Scala programming skills
- Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and data warehousing
- Knowledge of ML/AI platforms and MLOps practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Databricks certifications (preferred)
- Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks (preferred)
